About Michael Angelo
Michael Angelo is a New York based beauty, fashion and portrait photographer. His award-winning work has been published by such style arbiters as Vogue, Allure and Elle. His portrait subjects range from the burlesque icon Dita von Teese to the Nobel laureate Leymah Gbowee. His beauty photography has contributed to the success of such leading beauty brands as Lipstick Queen and Retrouvé and been exhibited in the Museum of Sex.
In addition to photography, Michael's body of work includes the creation of Michael Angelo's Wonderland Beauty Parlor, the direction of short films (including the award-winning Reflecting Adrianne), and design of scratch-n-sniff wallpapers produced by Flavor Paper. The wallpaper is included in the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and has been featured in the Museum of Ice Cream.
